Community Terms
These community rules explain how to take part in BitBouncer's closed beta, including live 1v1 matches and the public Hall of Fame. They are written for a free game, not as a paid service agreement.

1. Play fairly
BitBouncer is built around timing and practice. Do not use bots, modified clients, automation, score spoofing, exploits or tools that give an unfair advantage. Do not deliberately disconnect, flood a match, or interfere with another player's device or network. If a bug affects competition, tell us instead of using it to gain an advantage.
2. Live matches and rooms
A room code lets people you choose join a live duel. Share it only with people you trust, and leave a room if the match is no longer welcome. Do not use a room to threaten, harass, impersonate or target another person. The game is currently in beta, so a match can end because of a connection problem or a server restart; that is not a penalty.
3. Names and public entries
Choose a nickname that is not personal data, hateful, sexually explicit, illegal or designed to impersonate another player or the BitBouncer team. The name attached to a submitted result may appear in the public Hall of Fame. Do not include an email address, phone number or other identifying detail in a nickname.
4. Results and moderation
We may hide or remove a result, restrict a nickname, close a room or limit access when there is evidence of cheating, abuse, spam or a security risk. We may also correct an entry when a technical failure creates an obviously invalid result. Moderation is intended to keep the beta useful, not to punish ordinary connection failures.
5. Report a problem
Tell us about cheating, harassment, impersonation or a data concern through the BitBouncer contact address or the privacy request form. Include the room code, approximate time and any relevant nickname when it is safe to do so. Please do not send passwords, payment details or private conversations that are unrelated to the report.
6. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how we handle nicknames, hashed IPs, diagnostics and deletion requests. Do not put sensitive personal information in a room, nickname or public result.
7. Changes to these rules
The beta will change as we learn from players. We may update these rules when the game, moderation process or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how you participate, we will explain it in the changelog. Continuing to use online features after an update means you accept the new rules.
8. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms and any disputes relating to BitBouncer online services and the website are governed by applicable consumer protection laws. If you have any questions or disagreements, please contact us first at info@bitbouncer.io so we can resolve them fairly and directly.
